The following is the itinerary for our trip to the Byers' Choice Factory. Those of you who have joined us on previous trips know what a fantastic time we have enjoyed. I am sure this year will be no exception. We plan on taking only one bus, which will fill up fast, so if you wish to join us bring in, or send in, your deposit right away. This will reserve you a seat on the bus.
DAY ONE
Juice and pastry served on the bus. Lunch on your own. We will arrive at the factory in the latter part of the day to tour the newly expanded and renovated Christmas Gallery. I understand the new display is wonderful. Each person that comes with us will receive a Limited Edition Amish Man, which is made exclusively for the trip.
We will then be off to the Holiday Inn Select Hotel (800) (873-7263) in Trevose, Pa., our home for the next two days. Dinner is included at the hotel in their restaurant.
DAY TWO
Following another full and tasty breakfast, we will head to Historic Philadelphia. Tours there will include Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross' House and Ben Franklin's home and gravesites, and the First Congress and Supreme Court. We will have a chance to shop at the Bourse Building among other shops. Dinner and a show are included this evening at the Lily Dinner Theater.
DAY THREE
Following another all-you-can-eat breakfast, we will begin our journey home with a stop in the Big Apple, New York City. We will visit the famous South Street Seaport area at the tip of Manhattan Island. Set in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge, it’s next to the old Fulton Fish Market. The seaport is similar to Boston's Quincy Market. I have been there myself and enjoyed it immensely. There are many quaint shops for us to frequent. We will eat lunch on our own at the Seaport Market.
Rates Include: Motorcoach travel, lodging, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, (1 dinner theatre show), I snack, baggage handling and the services of a professional tour director. Also included is a Byers’ Choice Traveler Caroler. Driver and tour director gratuities are also included. For all of our passengers’ comfort, no smoking or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the coach.
The rate is $336.00 per person, double occupancy. A single room is $414.00.
Please let us know immediately if you plan to join us. To make it easier for you we have divided the payment in three monthly payments of $112.00 each month for a double, $138.00 for a single. The first payment must be made at once. The second payment is due on March first and the final payment is due on April first. Fifty dollars per person of the first payment is non-refundable by the Tour Company. Please include your charge card number with your first payment. We will then automatically charge your account when subsequent payments are due.
QUIZ: We are going to let our collectors come up with the questions for our infamous quiz. When you are settled on the bus we will collect all the questions. Remember that all questions must be about the Byers Choice Carolers. The harder the better as the collectors are very smart, even though the winner from our last trip is still being contested.
